Hi there,
My name is Rebecca and i have been TTC #1 for 7 years, i have PCO's (poly cystic Ovaries)Hubby sperm count is normal, and there should ne no reason why this is so hard for us.
We have been on and off clomid many times during the last 7 years and although the clomid produces a good few eggs, we have not been sucessful, we have had about 8 miscarriages all with no explination.
WE have don IUI's and have take HCG trigger shots so if there is anything you want to know please ask
I have not give up hope though i know that we will be blessed one day with our baby, it is just a matter of time |

Hi Rebecca,
I hope you are well. How lucky are we to have a friend like you!!!!!!
Well today we had our day 12 scan, and it seems that I have responded to the treatment, although there is only 1 folli that seems to have grown (1cm) the nurse seemed really happy. I have to go again on Monday for another scan, and we will take it from there, it has to grow to 1.7cm so we are keeping everything crossed. I know I shouldnt get my hopes up but it has been the first real positive thing that has happened for us in a very long time.
We are coming up to 5 years of TTC now and I know you will understand when I say the frustration is unbelieveable.
Anyway how are you getting on? have you visited the specialist yet?
Hope to hear from you very soon
With lots of love and sticky thoughts

Hey Mandy,
First of all it is I who is lucky to have friends like all of you to help me through it all too!!
YAY that is such great news for you at the moment, look 1cm growth in a folli is great
your getting close to ovulation??? are they going to do a HCG tigger shot to ripen the folli or are they going to see what happens with this cycle first.
I am so pleased that you are having a good result this time it is very encoraging. I was told something by my specialist and this is not to discorage you all in anyway it is just a way that has helped me dela with disappointment.
"if you have been TTC for over 12 months then you have a 5-10% chance of getting pregnant so there is a 90-95% of no getting pregnant each month"
When i started think about it like that it made it a little easier to handle the bad news, not sure if other will see it like that but it helped me.
Everything for me is fine i have changed my diet totally accoring to a natropath i am now pretty much a Vegan except i am eating eggs and i feel great for it, i have fresh fruit and vegetable juice for breakfast and some time lunch too and i have already lost 5 kg in 3 weeks YAY me, my blood sugar levels are back to normal and i have more energy.
I go back to the RE on the 11th Novemember so going to talk to him about everything
I hope that everything goes well for you i am crossing my fingers |

Hi Rebecca
I know exactly what you mean about preparing yourself, to be totally honest I do not tend to think about the factual facts and figures, we know we have a slim chance of getting pregnant, it was onlt the fact that the nurses were very optimistic that I got pretty excited, I think I am past the stage where I expect a BFP every month, I know deep down my time will come.
Dirty Dancing is fab, im sure you will love it. I have seen a couple of musicals like the lion king, cats Gareth has seen more because he lived in London for a couple of years so he saw all of the major ones which gets to me alittle because he wont take me to see them!!!!!
Night fever is just a night where they play all of the great 70's disco music with tribute bands (bands who copy the real thing) and dancers, I absolutely love disco music so im really looking forward to the dressing up!! I guess it is like the Rocky Horror tradition!!!
I did see the sound of music film on Saturday but we had to sing through it (not a nice sound believe me) it was lots of fun.
Had a lovely surprise at work today, gareth sent me a boquet of flowers for our anniversary (on Sunday) they are beautiful. I was very surprised because he is not a flower person or a romantic.
I really hope the two weeks your hubby is away go really quick, you are a very strong person if you are able to cope with that, im not sure I would be able to.
Hope you have a great weekend
Lots and lots of love
